Virtual Shopping Spree: Crate and Barrel

For some reason that I don't understand, Kevin doesn't like Crate and Barrel. So, he'll just have to wait outside on this shopping trip.

I would buy a pair of these water lily bowls, so that I could create a dramatic centerpiece on my dining room table. Maybe float a few flowers in water? Pile up lemons and artichokes?

I like these chocolate bed cover and shams. If my favorite colors in clothing are black and white, then my favorite color in linens are brown. Who doesn't love chocolate?

But instead of those boring white sheets, I would buy some printed ones.

I saw some really expensive designer apothecary jars in a magazine once, and I've been coveting apothecary jars ever since. So, I will take one of each of these, please. (Yes, I covet apothecary jars. This virtual shopping spree is very illuminating, no? The first person to call me a nerd doesn't get a present when I really do win a shopping spree. I'm just saying.)

Although I can already hear Kevin groaning (More throw pillows?), I would buy a set of two of these pretty pillows. They match the decor in just about every room in my house! How could I pass them up? Switching throw pillows makes a room feel kinda like new.

I already own these ramekins, but I would buy a large souffle dish. Why? I've never made souffle? Well, no, but the Barefoot Contessa has convinced me that I can make a good souffle, and the only thing stopping me now is my need for a dish. For serious. (More on that later, I'm sure.)

Believe it or not, I do not yet own a trifle bowl. And every gal needs a trifle bowl. I made something like this the other night to go with dinner in a glass mixing bowl. A mixing bowl, people!

I would love to be able to set a table with a carafe at each place setting. So, I would buy a dozen of these carafes. Now I just need a bigger dining room and a new dining table!

How about a dozen porcelain napkin rings for my dining table?

I registered for bedside carafes when Kevin and I got married, but we never received any. It's one of the gifts that I still think we need. But now, instead of just two, I think we need something like six of them. I imagine one for each of us, including Connor and Lex, and then two for guests. That way no one is ever thirsty. (And now I need another guest bedroom for our house.)

I like this large white vintage pedestal for my cakes. I like that cake, too. I bet I could make one just like it. You know, if I had the pedestal for it.

Yes, I blogged about these jars before. I would buy several in each size, and redecorate my kitchen while storing my dry goods! How pretty would my pantry be then?

Total Spent: $1,333.25

Total Remaining to Spend in $10,000 Imaginary Shopping Spree: $2,049.98
