Nothing is impossible when Daddy is an electrical engineer

Last night, Connor was playing with his flashlight in the car in the dark. (Which is the best place to play with a flashlight, by the way.)

One of his favorite things to do with the flashlight is to take it apart and put it back together again. But last night, he couldn't get it back together again.

Mommy tried to fix it.
Nana tried to fix it.
Pam tried to fix it.
Matt tried to fix it.
Grandpa tried to fix it.
Pap Pap tried to fix it.
Uncle Tim tried to fix it.

No one could fix it.

Connor suggested that we take it home so that Daddy could fix it. (I was totally ready to pitch the flashlight into the bin, as I figured it was a lost cause.) His faith in Daddy's ability to fix the flashlight was absolute. So we took it home, and after Connor was safely tucked into bed, I presented the broken flashlight to Daddy.

I don't know how he did it. He said something about a flux capacitor thermographer or something, but the flashlight has been repaired!

Connor is going to be thrilled!

I love my husband.
