Apple Butter Festival

If you saw the clip of Lex dancing to the bluegrass band, then you may have noticed that we went to the Groveport Apple Butter Festival this afternoon. (If you haven't seen the video clip yet, go watch it, as that kid is super cute as he gets his groove on. Then report straight back for the rest of the fun.)

Highlights of the festival included:

Lex and I sharing his first walking taco

Lex getting pecked by a baby frizzle chicken after squeezing it's head so hard I'm surprised that the poor thing's eyes didn't pop out. Thank heavens that both Lex and the frizzle chicken are sturdy, neither suffered any lasting damage.

Connor trying to eat a real buckeye - as he has never known about the nut, only the candy

Connor purchasing and eating candy buckeyes after learning the difference

Connor riding the littlest pony

A civil war re-enactment, complete with gun fire that spooked a large horse that almost trampled my husband while Connor was riding the pony. Thankfully Kevin is pretty sturdy, too.

Antique tractor show

Pumpkin Butter, Apple Butter, Kettle Corn, Candy Apple Corn, yum!

In summary:

The Groveport Apple Butter Festival is a great time, but it isn't for the weak!
