I got my hair cut at the salon by a girl named Lexi. Having a baby at home named Lex, I was curious about her name.
I asked her if Lexi was her legal name, or if it was short for anything. It turns out that her name is actually Lindsey, but there was already a Lindsey working at the salon, and as part of her job agreement, she had to agree to go by a different name so that customers wouldn't get confused. So, management dubbed her "Lexi" almost a decade ago, and now she has an alias.
As I was sitting in the salon chair contemplating this (genius by the way, I can never remember my stylist's name - if there were two Lindseys, I would be totally lost!), I decided that I needed to come up with an alias for myself.
So, I've decided that if I ever had to change my name, I would be Ginny.
First, Ginny kinda sounds like Julie, but is less common. Plus, I think it fits with the red hair (I'm thinking of Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter here).
The only problem that I foresee is that no one is going to take me seriously after I change my name, and that my CD sales will probably plummet. (I'm looking at you: Garth Brooks/Chris Gaines, Mariah Carey/Mimi, and Beyonce/Sasha Fierce.)

WOW! looks good!
LOVE it Ginny! First time I've ever seen you with straight hair
I think it's only about the 4th time I've ever had straight hair. I've never straightened it myself - it's always been done by someone else. I told Kevin he could get me a straightening iron and related products for Christmas.
not that I can vouge, because I've never straightened my hair:), but this one is supposed to be a decent one that isn't supposed to fry your hair:
