Remember Doug?
This Holiday Season our Family has taken in a Fraser Fir to help us Celebrate the Nativity of Christ.
Connor played a much larger role in decorating the tree this year, and he is solely responsible for all the decorations on the bottom half of the tree. He also insisted that we put the tiny little train for a tiny little charm tree under this (larger) tree. The best part of the whole decorating experience (in my opinion) was when I lifted him up to put the star on top of the tree and he sat on my headband and messed up my hair and kicked me in the face, and then complained that the star was crooked after he was done and back on the ground, and made me redo it anyways.
We decided to put the tree in the front (music) living room this year instead of the back (family) living room as we have done in recent years. We had put the tree in this room the first few years that we lived at this house, but never in Connor's lifetime. He didn't like the change at first, but moving the tree to a different room has really spread our holiday decorations all through the house, and I think everyone is happy now.
We put the tree up Thursday night and decorated it on Friday, which means that it has been in the house less than a week. Already, Connor has asked multiple times whether or not it is time to take the tree down and tie it to the car to take it to be mulched. I hope he isn't disappointed when we just leave it on the curb to be picked up after Christmas, but there is no way I'm going to go through that episode again!

Welcome to the family, Frasier! Here's hoping you don't end up in a cornfield after January!
