We went to lunch today with some friends and a bunch of police officers. I don't eat at Subway often, and I did the worst job ordering ever. I could have just gotten a single $5 footlong for us to share, but instead I ended up ordering a footlong for me, a kids meal for Lex and some meat and cheese for Connor (since that is all he wanted). You would have thought that I was the first person in the history of mankind to ever order meat and cheese at a sandwich shop by the way the staff handled that request!
Then, we went to ride bikes with some friends. Lex couldn't really do much with the pedals on his tricycle, but he did figure out how to coast down the driveway at breakneck speed. (I caught him body surfing off the couch headfirst this evening - he is such a daredevil!)
We flew a kite this afternoon in the warm sunshine and blustery breezes. Connor thought it was the best thing ever, until he spotted an airplane and jet trail in the sky that looked like a rocket blasting off to the moon, and then that was all he could talk about. (Yes, he wore his
I read a great article on nursing toddlers after a friend posted the link on Facebook. This was just a few minutes after nursing Lex (16 months old and still nursing) before putting him to bed. I had been feeling muddled about it until then.
I watched the newest episode of Vampire Diaries. So great.
Oh, and we had breakfast for dinner. I made pancakes and bacon and it was exactly what I wanted. I used a different pan tonight, as my favorite 10 inch Calphalon non-stick pan was ruined earlier this week...a moment of silence, please...and the cooking of pancakes tonight produced a lot of smoke in the house. I blame the pan. I think I may have to replace it...
