I checked out a great book at the library during story time last week.
Every other page looks something like this:
And then on the next page, it all starts to make sense. The thing that I really love is that the cut-out pieces from the white page are actually pasted onto the next page to form the animal. The book is very textural.
So, while Nana was over one day, and while I was baking cookies, Connor and Nana traced out the shapes from the book, and constructed Connor's very own goose!
Next we did the lamb:
During storytime at the library this week, I checked out another David A. Carter book called woof! woof!
It's the same type of book, but it's all about dogs!
