Louisville Slugger

So, it turns out that when driving from our house to Nashville, Louisville is a great place to stop in the middle and take a break for a while.

I already mentioned to you that we ate lunch in Louisville at Luigi's Pizzaria, and we went for a stroll up and down Main Street to stretch our legs. But, we also visited the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory and took a factory tour. Connor is now an expert on how wooden baseball bats are made, and he has been recreating the process at home with the mini souvenir bats that came home with us.

Not only is the Louisville Slugger factory a great place to learn about how baseball bats are made, but it is also *the* place to go when you want to see a giant baseball bat...

...or a giant baseball glove.

Lex actually fell asleep during the factory tour, but Connor kept managing to wrangle himself right into the front of the tour group, which meant that he and I spent most of the tour front and center, where we had the best view of what was going on. It was actually a lot of fun, and I'd recommend it to anyone who ends up with an hour or two to spend in Louisville.

Next time, though, we'll check out the International History Museum or the Louisville Science Center.
