The New Question

Do we replace the microwave with a cream colored model so that it matches all of our current old model kitchen appliances, or do we buy a stainless steel model since we were thinking of eventually replacing all the appliances with stainless steel in the not now but near future?

Stainless steel matches everything! Although microwaves are usually cheap enough that you might not mind getting a new one when you replace everything. But you could spend the money you save by not having to buy two on something wonderful . . . like another high-powered toilet.

Did my husband pay you for that comment?

That's a tough one. I would weigh the costs and how soon you are really going to replace the others. Or if you plan on one appliance at a time then it would probably be okay to the stainless steal microwave now. And then make the stove be the next one?
