Rocky River Nature Center
Today Grandma Ella took us to the Rocky River Nature Center. It's part of the Cleveland Metroparks.
We had a ton of fun exploring their Hideaway Hollow, which was a giant tree with all sorts of nooks and crannies filled with fun animals, puppets, books, displays and toys.
There was also a pioneer section, where we dressed up as pioneers and Indians, and Connor spent a very, very, very long time churning butter and pressing apples.
Lex's favorite part was the live animals. He really liked the snakes, frogs, turtles and crayfish. He is such a boy.
After we had finished looking at everything inside the nature center, we ventured out into the snow for a short time to look at the huge rushing river outside. That was really fun, and Connor was sad when Lex decided that he was cold and wanted to go in. And, if you know my boys, you know that this is strange, as Lex is our outside baby and Connor usually wants to go in first. The view was truly amazing, so I understand why Connor wanted to linger in the snow.
