While we were on vacation, we were in a lot of large crowds. Often, Kevin would take either Connor or Lex by the hand, and I would take the other. When we would get separated, Lex would start yelling for the other parent.
It first started happening in Magic Kingdom. Kevin and Lex were behind Connor and I in the crowd, and Lex started yelling, "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Moooommmmy, Moooommmy."
It was awesome. He never called me "Mommy" before then. He could say, "Mama," but he just didn't do it that often.
Later that same day, he was with me, and Kevin and Connor got separated from us. So, he started chanting, "Daddy, Daddy, Daaaaady, Daaaadddddyyyyy." He had previously asked for Daddy all the time when Daddy was at work, but it was cute to hear him looking for him in the crowd.
And, man, is that kid loud when he wants to be.
Now that we are home, he is still calling for us when he wants something. For instance, instead of just crying when he wakes up and wants out of his crib, he starts calling for us now by name.
I remember when Connor started calling for us to come get him out of his crib. It seems like it was just yesterday. It's one of my favorite milestones.
