While visiting Niagara Falls on the Canadian side, we woke up nice and early and ate breakfast at the Starbucks in the lobby of the hotel. Connor was disappointed that they didn't have any of his favorite morning buns. But, we set off on a walk to explore the falls, and we passed no fewer than five more Starbucks on our journey, and each time we stopped to check to see if they had any morning buns. Connor was disappointed each time, but we didn't let that get us down.

We walked all the way from our hotel at the Horseshoe Falls, all the way down to the entertainment district known as Clifton Hills, where we got ice cream for the boys and took in the sights, including a ride on the SkyWheel.

All that walking made us hungry, so we stopped for lunch. Connor and Lex made a new friend:
They are crazy for that frog now. His official name is "Cha Cha" but he just goes by "froggy" around here.
After lunch at the Rainforest Cafe (which is, in Connor's opinion, only second to T-Rex Cafe in Orlando), we played in a park for a while and then took a taxi cab ride back to the Horseshoe Falls, where we did the Cave of the Winds attraction.
The Cave of the Winds is where you put on a poncho and take an elevator down to the middle of the falls, and then walk in some tunnels to view the back of the falls. Here we are, looking out one of the portals.

You can also take some stairs down to the bottom of the falls and get soaked in the spray, but we skipped that part, since we had done something very similar to it the day before.
After a quicknap rest back at our hotel room, we went for another walk, and this time we ended up at the mall in the Fallsview Casino, where Connor and I watched a man make a huge batch of fudge at a candy shop.

Then, we headed to the Skylon Tower where we had dinner reservations in the revolving dining room. Connor loved the fact that the room spun around and around, very slowly, and never stopped. The food was great, too. Oh, and expensive.

After dinner, we went out to the observation deck to see the sights, and our trend of taking really silly pictures only intensified.
After which there was nothing to do but walk by the falls again on our way back to the hotel, visit a bunch of gift shops, and ride the incline railroad back up to our hotel again.

That night, we watched a fireworks display over the falls from the comfort of our hotel room, while sitting by the fire. Lex didn't have a chance of staying awake to see the fireworks, and he slept right though them in his little travel crib by the window. Connor vowed to stay awake until they started at 10:00 pm, but he feel asleep while watching a video about rockets around 9:50 pm.

Wow, Julie! You look especially beautiful in these pictures!
Wow, Pam! Thanks so much for the compliment. I had my hair cut right before we left on our trip.
The view from your hotel looks fantastic!
Yes, we stayed at the Fallsview Marriott, and the view was outstanding! We could see both the American falls and the horseshoe falls from our window, and the room was set up with a couple of chairs and an end table by the floor-to-ceiling windows, with a fireplace right next to the windows. It was fabulous, and if you ever go up there, you should stay there, too.
I'll have to remember the recomendation for when we ever get to go. We've been talking up a vacation bucket list for the past week(s). It's definately on the list. I went there on Girl Scout trip years ago.
