Picture Book of the Week

This book, this LMNO Peas by Keith Baker, it is something fabulous.

It is an alphabet book, and there are all sorts of different peas, such as astronaut peas and baker peas, depending on which letter they were with. It kind of reminds me of the Smurfs. If each Smurf was named for a different letter of the alphabet. And if they weren't blue Smurfs, but were instead green peas. No, it really doesn't have anything to do with the Smurfs at all, does it? I must just have Smurfs on the brain.

Oh, and the whole thing rhymes.

Each of the drawings is so detailed that Connor and Lex will look at them forever. But the letter is bold and clear, so that is important and easy to see. And, there is a hidden ladybug on each and every page, so they go hunting for that, too.
