We like Queen of the Falls because it tells the story of the very first person to go over the falls in a barrel, a 63 year-old woman named Annie, who took the plunge in 1901, hoping that it would provide her with fame and fortune and a way to secure the rest of her future.
We also like it because it reminds us of our recent trip to see Niagara Falls.
We like Up and Down because it tells the story of a little boy and his best friend, a penguin. The penguin really wants to fly, but as you and I both know, penguins can't fly.
Oh, and this book has introduced us to one of my favorite games: backgammon. I haven't played backgammon since I was a kid, but I taught Connor yesterday.
