We had such a smashing good time at the Dayton Air Show earlier this summer that we decided to go to the Cleveland Air Show this past weekend. On Kevin's Birthday, actually. Happy Birthday, hubby!
This time we took Kevin's dad with us, too.

(Connor also climbed inside an army tank and up to the machine guns. There are no pictures of him manning the machine gun, because unlike all the big kids who were doing it, he wasn't tall enough to see over the side of the tank.)
Our favorite part was definitely the Thunderbirds.
During the first stunt where the planes fly right by one another, but look like they are going to hit head on, Lex totally flinched, expecting a crash. When they didn't crash, he asked, "What happened?" I told him that the planes were doing tricks for us, but he kept asking, after each trick, "What happened?" It was funny.
Next year we are hoping to catch a show by the Blue Angels, and we really want to see an airplane break the sound barrier. We have to find out if anyone does that anymore, and if so, where. Maybe in the middle of the desert out west?
