We have a huge red maple tree in our front yard, and I love watching it turn red in the fall. So does everyone else. Kevin loves it, and Connor loves it, and even a few of my neighbors have told me that they love it, too. I'm sure that Lex loves it, too, even though he hasn't ever said as much to me yet.
This year, we decided to take some photos of the red leaves. And by that, I mean that Kevin mentioned that we should do it, and then Connor decided to go and fetch the tripod and organize the whole thing. But taking photos of the tree quickly got boring. So, Connor volunteered to go and stand by the tree to make it more interesting.
Connor is such a big boy, until you put him next to a huge tree. Then he looks small again.
The leaves turn red at the top of the tree first, and then the red color works its way down to the bottom over several days. You can still see a some green leaves at the bottom of the tree.

Awww... Love the family photos. :) I'm enjoying watching our tree turn... It's our first fall in this house. No pretty reds like that though.
