Here in our neighborhood we are in the stage of spring where the trees are going to seed. This means that there is copious amounts of white fluffy stuff floating around in the air. As it is the first "snow" that we have had at home this year, Lex was very excited about it.
We opened the door to the backyard, and a bunch drifted into my dining room. I was not so pleased, as I had just vacuumed and swept the floors. But Lex was so happy. He said, "Snow!"
I said, "No, those are seeds."
He said, "It's seed snow."
And so he went outside to play in the "seed snow."
About five minutes later, he came back in to report: "Mommy, it's seed snow outside. It makes me so happy. I am so happy because now we can go icing down the mountain!"
I think icing means skiing. He saw the ski poles hanging in our garage recently, and when he discovered what they were for, he wanted to go skiing immediately and was very sad that we didn't have any snow. Nevermind that we don't have a mountain anywhere nearby, either.
