Lex is three years old now?!?! What?!
He chose to have a Scooby Doo Birthday Party, and since his birthday was on a Saturday, we actually got to have his party on his birthday. Which is nice when you are three, because then there is no confusion about when your birthday actually is.
Some Scooby Doo Decor
The boys decorated this pumpkin with Scooby Doo stickers while waiting for the guests to arrive, and it turned out to be a really cute centerpiece.
We played a few party games. The first was a Scooby Doo themed scavenger hunt to find a treasure chest full of Scooby Doo party favors. Then, we did a Scooby Doo pinata. Fortunately, the weather outside was perfect.
Here are the kids that were willing to take part in a group photo before we did the pinata.
Lex asked for a really big cake, and I was sure that I had made it too large and that we would have tons of leftovers, but it turned out to be the perfect size.
Lex was so excited to blow out his candles and eat his cake!
He made funny faces the entire time we were singing to him:
Super cute!
Here is a really big breath before he blows out the candles!
After we all ate cake and ice cream, Lex opened presents. He got so many wonderful toys. One of the ones he was most excited about was the lightsaber that Nana and Grandpa bought him. They knew that he really wanted one ever since he met Darth Vader.
He also got some new Star Wars Legos.
His shirt is important, too. He sneaked it into the shopping cart at Target while I was buying fall clothes for Connor. He said that he really needed it, and since he had picked out the correct size, I went ahead and bought it for him. I think it's hilarious.
