Why it's really great to have friends.

And not just any friends, but particularly Katie of Unapologetically Mundane and Ettible Photography and a-million-other-really-great-things fame.

Remember these photos from Washington, D.C.?

Look.  Look how awesome she made them:

OHIO

I know that they were just begging for someone to edit them, by existing in their current divided and unfinished state.  And I wanted to, but I didn't know how.  Then Katie did it for me, without me even asking.  It was like Christmas, but I had forgotten that it was December, ya know what I mean?

And, remember this photo?

Darth Vader

Kevin suggested that we see what fantastic thing she could do with it, just because he liked the first one she created so much.  So I asked, and look.  Look at this:

Star Wars

It's stunning.  And fabulous.  And everything that I would have asked for, had I known what I really wanted.

And, I'm pretty sure Connor is in love with this Katie-that-he-has-never-met now that she has made him look like part of a movie poster.

Thanks, Katie.  You're the best.

P.S.  There are 8 days until the Circleville Pumpkin Show.

P.S. #2  This morning we got a phone call from Barnes & Noble.  While we were there the day that we met Darth Vader, I entered the boys in a raffle for a Star Wars themed prize pack, and Lex won!  So today we went and picked it up.  Connor is super excited about reading the adult novel that picks up where the sixth Star Wars movie left off, and Lex's favorite new thing is a Chewy bobble head.  Except he keeps twisting Chewy's head until it is on backwards.  Like a Wookie-exorcist-bobble head.  In his defense, the box indicates that it is for ages 4 and up.  And he's only 2 years old.

P.S. #3 There are only 4 days until Lex's 3rd birthday.

It was superfun to do these. I don't even know what possessed me to–probably just the cuteness of your kids!
