Santa is going to be Connor's Heroica

And by Santa, of course I mean me.

Connor loves all things Lego Heroica.  It's this fantastic build-able board game featuring knights and kings and goblins and vampires and it is fun to play and endlessly customizable.  Connor loves it so much that it was The Official Theme for his 5th Birthday Party.

Long before his 5th birthday ever took place, Connor and I caught wind that there were going to be two new Lego Heroica sets released in 2012.  The first one was Ilrion, and it was set to come out in June 2012.  We actually managed to purchase that one early when we found it in the Lego store in Chicago during our 7th Anniversary Trip.

The second set was Ganrash, to be released in August 2012.  August came and went, and nothing.  Then September.  Still nothing.  In October, while at the Lego store, Connor asked one of the employees what was going on with Ganrash, and he confessed that he had never heard of it.  He got his manager, who looked it up in their computer system and discovered that it had been released in August 2012 in Canada

Connor quickly began plotting ways to travel to Canada.  But getting to Canada by yourself can be difficult when you are five years old.  He's still working it out.

What he doesn't know about, apparently, is Ebay.  I finally managed to win a set on Ebay, and I think it's going to be his super special present from Santa.  Because if he knows that it isn't for sale in the US, then Santa must have brought it.  I mean, right?

Also, I can't wait to see his face when he opens it, because he isn't expecting it at all.

This message is top secret, of course, and will self destruct in 3.....2.....1.....
