Pokemon Plasma Blast Pre-release Event

Yesterday, Connor took part in his very first official Pokemon event.

It was a pre-release event for a new set of Pokemon cards that are going to go on sale sometime next month called the Plasma Blast series.

We met with other Pokemon fans of all ages at Pappas Bar-B-Q, and for $30 Connor was provided with 6 of the brand new booster packs of cards.  Then, he was given about an hour to build a 40 card deck using these new cards.  (The event officials provided all the basic energy cards that were needed to construct the decks.)

Then, Connor played three games against kids his own age.  I think he really enjoyed playing with other kids, instead of with me or Nana.  He won two games and lost one, which are now part of his official Pokemon match average for non-tournament games.  Or something like that.



Following the end of the games, Connor was given two more booster packs of new cards in exchange for returning all the basic energy cards he had borrowed from the event officials.
