The guys who did our floors are named Edgar and Alex. They are brothers. They used this sharp tool to rip up the vinyl flooring. Like a large chisel at the end of a broom handle. I'm sure it has an official name, but I don't know what it is. And since Edgar only spoke a little English, and Alex spoke even less, I never got around to asking them. My Spanish is a little rusty, but it sure improved by having them around for a more than a week! Anyways, they kept the tool sharp by grinding it with a small circular saw every half hour or so, and when they did, sparks would fly!
