San Antonio River Walk

For Easter this year we decided to take a trip to San Antonio.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency right between the Alamo and the River Walk.  In fact, the river runs right through the hotel lobby, so it was a great location, and when we go back (they dye the river green for St. Patrick's Day every year, and I have always wanted to see one of those green rivers, and this one is in a warm locale, not some place freezing like Chicago!), we will stay at this hotel again.  It was fabulous!

The River Walk is the most amazing place.  Honest.  Kevin and I loved it, and the kids loved it, too.  We could have gone by ourselves and had a good time, or gone with friends, but we took our kids and it was great.  It would have been great with the grandparents as well.  The long and the short of it is that the River Walk is this great place that we didn't even know existed, and now that we do, we will remember it fondly and probably visit again.

There are a lot of ducks and ducklings along the river, since it is springtime.

And they are adorable.

We took a nice river boat cruise and toured the River Walk district.
