And I don't mean that I didn't know that I couldn't see.
No, I've needed vision correction since I was a kid. I first got glasses in middle school. But it was middle school and they were glasses, so I never bothered with them.
I finally got contacts when I was 16 years old, so that I could learn to drive. I've never really worn glasses since then, even though I have occasionally had a pair.
Well, now that we have a puppy, Connor gets up bright and early to take him outside. He calls for me, and I help him get himself and the dog ready to go out. One morning, it was particularly early. Like 4 AM early. So, I stumbled out of bed and held the dog and helped with the leash while Connor got his shoes and coat. When Connor came back in, he said, "Mom, you've got to come outside and see this!"
He was so excited and happy.
So, I came outside and asked what I was looking at. But I couldn't see anything but darkness.
Apparently the night sky full of bright clear stars was breathtaking. And I missed it all. Connor was super disappointed that I didn't see what he was talking about.
I think I need a pair of glasses for early morning doggy time.
