Happy Birthday, Kevin!

Right before his birthday, somehow my husband stumbled onto a bunch of Ohio State Buckeye cakes on Pinterest, and he asked me to make one for his birthday this year.  And they were fabulous cakes, so I was a bit nervous, but I think I managed to make a good one:

It was a red velvet cake with vanilla bean filling and buttercream frosting.  And homemade buckeyes.  It was delicious.  Oh, and I put it on the cake plate from our fancy china, because it is such a pretty plate that it makes all the cakes look good.

Lex and Connor put all the candles on the cake, and I think they arranged them very nicely.
