Last night we spent some time at the airport while we were waiting to pick Kevin up after his trip.
The Amarillo airport is so small that we could see his plane pull up and him get off from outside the secured area of the airport.
The Amarillo airport is named after Rick Husband, who was the commander of the Columbia Shuttle on it's final mission.
Bonus points if you can spot Kevin!
Even though our airport is designated as an "international" airport, you can't really get anywhere except Las Vegas or Dallas from here. From there, I guess you can travel internationally if you feel like it. There's a good candy shop in the Dallas airport, though, and Kevin brought us some tasty chocolates while he was waiting for his connecting flight home.
The kids thought it was hilarious. And delicious. And so it was.
