Adorable puppy
Lex said Poppy was the best Birthday gift ever.
This was also the day that all the boxes from our move got picked up out of the driveway. We had to schedule a special pickup to get them taken away. The box fort had grown quite significantly since that first night, and I was so glad to be rid of the boxes. But then Kevin ordered this new recliner, and wouldn't you know it, but it came in a giant cardboard box. The universe keeps giving me boxes, you guys.
This year Lex's birthday fell on Friday, the 13th, so he asked for a Friday the 13th cake.
He also wanted chocolate cake and chocolate frosting. I used Ghirardelli chocolate.
Connor wanted to be in charge of putting the candles on the cake.
He stuck four candles in each of the eye holes for Jason's mask. So now this very scary horror film guy now has flaming eyes. Even better.
This is what we call Camp Poppy. We set it up in our master bathroom, because there isn't anything in there she can get into. Lex wanted to sleep in Camp Poppy, too, so we got his sleeping bag and camp cot set up.
Sweet Dreams!
Happy 8th Birthday, Lex! I am so glad you love your puppy.
