Macy's Pink Pig

We got a list of Atlanta-area holiday traditions from a local realtor, and the first one that piqued our interest was the Macy's Pink Pig.

Okay, fine.  It piqued my interest.  Mine alone.  But Kevin was good enough to indulge me, and we dragged the kids to the mall to go see it.

They told me that they were too old for the Pink Pig.  They didn't even know what it was but they already hated it.

So, we made them a bet to get them onto the ride.  We bet them that they couldn't ride the entire ride without smiling (Lex) and laughing (Connor).  They accepted our challenge in hopes of winning $5 each.

And so we bought our tickets and rode the Macy's Pink Pig:

It turns out that the Pink Pig is a little train ride that is shaped like a Pink Pig and goes through a Pink Pig wonderland of sorts.  We rode it around the whole thing twice while a recorded Priscilla Pig told us her life story.  It's ridiculous.  And the boys had to work very hard to appear as if they did not enjoy it.

I snapped a ton of pictures while we were riding because I wanted photographic evidence of Connor laughing or of Lex smiling.

Connor almost lost the bet at one point.  He had to physically restrain his laughter.

We ended up giving them both $5, and now we can say that we have ridden the Pink Pig at Macy's.
