Atlanta History Center

On Monday, when we all had the day off for MLK Day, we went to the Atlanta History Center.  They had some special programming for the holiday, and we were able to watch a film with the complete "I Have a Dream" speech.  It was a wonderful presentation.

We also explored some other areas of the History Center.  Of course, Lex was most interested in this Civil War Siege Cannon:

Next to the Atlanta History Center is the Swan House, which is now operated by the History Center, and which is decorated in a style true to 1930s Atlanta.  You can tour the home, and I suspect that a good number of brides have their photos taken there on their wedding day.

The house reminds me of the house at the beginning of Resident Evil where Alice first wakes up...at least from the outside.

When we saw this china hutch, and this is only a small fraction of the china on display, Connor said that I needed more china because I didn't have nearly enough in comparison.  I can't disagree with the kid.  In any event, this china pattern is beautiful.

That's all, y'all!
