In which we bought books that we already have, but that are completely different...

When I first heard about the illustrated editions of the Harry Potter books, I knew that I wanted them.  So when the first book was first released, I bought it for Connor and Lex, in the hopes that they would also fall in love with Harry Potter.

That was ages ago.  But, patience is a virtue.  Now the kids are totally obsessed with all things Harry Potter and getting into the books.

Connor decided to read the illustrated version:

Once he finished the first book, instead of reading the regular versions, he asked if we could get more of the illustrated versions.  It turns out that there are only two more illustrated versions in existence.  So, we went to Barnes & Nobel and picked up two new copies of The Chamber of Secrets and The Prisoner of Azkaban

And once Connor finishes these, he will have to read the regular versions of the books, because the illustrated version of Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire won't be released until 2019.

It turns out that having two copies of these books was handy, though, so that Connor and Lex could read at the same time.
