He asked to go to Legoland as his birthday treat, part one.
And so, we did. Happy Birthday! It's like they knew or something.
We have been to this Legoland once before, but we enjoyed the Atlanta Miniland so much more this time because we live here now and know what these buildings really are. We've even been to many of them.
I spy the Olympic Rings water fountain area in Centennial Olympic Park!
I spy the Varsity hot dog shop!
I spy the King and Queen Buildings, which we can see from our neighborhood!
It's the Georgia Aquarium!
It's Stone Mountain!
Connor and Lex decided to build a giant Lego fort out the giant Lego bricks in the pirate play area.
He did the whole peasants and tyrant thing again from his new fort/castle.
The boys built towers to test on the earthquake simulator.
We visited the Ninjago training center. This place was awesome.
There were several ninja challenges in this room, including a laser maze. The boys love a good laser maze.
The boys rode all the rides as many times as they wanted to.
After the boys had done everything that they wanted to at Legoland, which was basically everything at least once, and some things several times, Connor said that he wanted to go home and build some Legos. Specifically, the Harry Potter Hogwarts castle.
So, here we have birthday special day, part two:
We built Legos until it was time for dinner.
Then we went and picked up Kevin and headed to Farm Burger.
Birthday, part three.
We brought his presents and a cake and had a little birthday party at the restaurant.
Once we were done with dinner, we headed to the mall. We walked all around the mall while we were waiting for our movie to start.
Because special birthday day part four was a trip to see Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. In 3D.
Happy 11th Birthday, Connor!!
We love you!
