In which Connor goes bowling with his birthday bowling gear for the first time...

Yesterday we dropped Connor's ball off at the pro shop to be drilled.  The gentleman behind the counter spent a really long time measuring Connor's hands and fingers and fitting him for his ball.

Today, we picked up his ball and bowled a few games right away.

I recorded his first two throws, you know, for posterity.

He was a little bit down because Lex had bowled a strike right before him:

But it turned out just fine.  He bowled really well after that:

The first game, Lex bowled a 97 and Connor bowled a 106.

Instead of having them try to beat each other's score, we usually bowl two games, with the aim of the second game being to bowl a higher score than the first.  That way they are competing against themselves instead of each other.

Connor bowled 140 for the second game!

It was the best game of his life!

He was very pleased with his new ball and shoes.
