The head chef of this tiny (it's really small) restaurant once won Chopped on The Food Network. They only serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday until 3 pm. They don't take reservations. It's first come-first served, and every time we have gone the wait has exceeded two hours. Once the wait exceeded the number of hours that they would have been open.
But today, we headed over were only given a 50 minute wait time! Kevin was so happy that he hugged the hostess. So she immediately thought we had misheard her and were expecting a 15 minute wait time. That was funny. No one is ever as happy as we were to be told that we would get a table in about an hour.
So we waited. The wait was long for Lex. But we managed.
And then we got the food:
The pastry of the day was a cinnamon raisin roll. It was amazing.

Brothers
Chicken Biscuit and Fried Potato and Pickles and OMG! YUM!
Connor ordered a tall stack of buttermilk pancakes.
Lex customized a chicken and waffles order and requested chicken and buttermilk pancakes. He was not disappointed.
Kevin ate a lobster omelette, and it was probably delicious, because he cleaned his plate quickly.
Before we sat down to eat, the kids were firm that this was the only time we would ever wait so long to eat there. But, now that they have eaten there, they have already started talking about going back.
