He started the day with a cupcake party at breakfast with some friends at First Watch, and then a trip to the park with Daddy.
Later in the afternoon, we headed to Nitro Zone to have some fun with another friend.
The first important thing to do was to drive the race cars.
Then, we sang the birthday song and had cupcakes.
Then, we played a round of Bazooka Ball, which is like paintball, but with little hard foam balls instead of paint.
After Bazooka Ball, we headed to the Action Zone, which is where the American Ninja Warrior courses and trampolines are located.
And that's when the party took a turn. Daddy got hurt on the trampoline and we had to go to the emergency room.
Fortunately, another mom took the boys back to Nitro Zone so they could finish having fun, instead of waiting around in the emergency room.
So, Kevin's leg was pronounced broken, and we met the boys back at home, where Lex finished opening his birthday gifts.
So, what was in the giant blue box?
A new gaming chair.
Lex and I carried it all upstairs and put it together, even though it was way past bedtime.
What are birthdays for, if not for staying up late?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LEX!!
