In which we make Japanese Pancakes

Today, after watching a video on YouTube, Lex decided that we needed to make some Japanese pancakes for lunch.  I don't even know if that's what they are really called, but that's what we are calling them.

Here is the video he watched:

And so, we set about to make our own.  The ring was a bit of a problem, because at first we thought he meant a 9 cm tall ring.  But then we figured out that he meant a 9 cm diameter ring.  But our rings are still too short, so our pancakes are shorter than his.

Also, we don't use boxed pancake mix.  So we had to find a recipe for that, and then figure out the proper proportions for this recipe.  We ended up needing 3/24 TBSP salt, or something ridiculous like that, so we just threw a little bit in.

In the end, these pancakes were delicious.  They take much longer to cook, but they are more like cake than a regular pancake.

They are also extra light and fluffy.

The End.

Happy Cooking!
