A Series of Delicious Mistakes

One of my Chinese students asked me to make a video showing her how to make mashed potatoes after we had been talking about Thanksgiving dinner this week.  So, I set about making the mashed potatoes and the video, and they turned out all right, but not as smooth and creamy as I usually prefer, because I forgot to peel the potatoes.

She sent me a video showing me how to make fresh corn juice after telling me about it, because I had never heard of anyone drinking corn before.  However, I didn't understand part of the steps, and I ended up making mashed corn instead of juice.

So, I put the skin-on mashed potatoes and the mashed corn together, and I made a souffle.  Which I only burned a little bit.  I covered up the burned marks with some fried onions.  Now it's picture perfect, right???  Whatever.

Corn and potato soufflé

It was delicious, but not at all what was intended.
