Lex insisted that we buy this game

...and I love games.  So we bought it.

We decided to play it today during school.  The next thing you know, we are looking up all the ways that people died on the Oregon trail.  What exactly is dysentery?  These things.

Then, we get down to the business of playing.  It's a team game, meaning that if anyone makes it to Oregon, we all win.  Spoiler alert:  No one makes it to Oregon today.

I was the first to die.

Connor wrote an epitaph for me:

It reads:

"Ma pulled on the wrong weed."

So clever.

After we played the card game, the boys ended up on their computers to try their hand at the old video game version.  Connor made it to Oregon.  Lex tried, and failed, twice.

The Oregon Trail is hard, y'all.  Don't drink bad water.  Don't try to ford a river if it is too deep.
