This is a post about books.
The Fantastic Strangelings Book Club read Swallowed Man for January.
I'm not really a member of the book club because I don't want physical copies of more books (I like to read on my phone) because we have so many books already, and because I don't want to participate in the Zoom calls. But, I do want to read great books and read the comments about them in the group online. So, I settled for honorary member status. And this book about Geppetto's time inside the whale from Pinocchio was excellent.
The February book is The Witch's Heart, and it's a Norse tale about Loki. I've only read about a dozen pages, and I already love it.

Connor has finished all of middle school science. So, before we move on to the first section of high school science, he is taking a pit stop with these Horrible Science books. Score another point for this horrible publisher. We've got the Horrible History, Horrible Geography, and Horrible Science sets covered.
The first high school science course that Connor is going to complete is called The History of Science. This book (The Disappearing Spoon) isn't part of the reading list, but I think it should be. So I bought it. I can do that, you know. It's all about the Periodic Table, elements, and history.
Lex just finished reading Robin Hood.
The movie version he chose to watch?
Tom and Jerry: Robin Hood and His Merry Mouse.
It's fine. He's seen many Robin Hood movies many times before. Also, he read the book.
Connor is learning about the Civil War, so I pulled this book off our shelves for extra reading.
