1. Dodgeball - It's totally fun, but it's also very, shall we say, altheltic and intense. We played Monday night, and now it's Wednesday morning, and I'm still feeling it! My ribcage doesn't hurt as much as it did yesterday, but my legs and arms and breasts are still sore...and we were playing with "softer" balls than the old red rubber play ground balls that we used as kids. Sigh. But I'm looking forward to next week. (I'm also looking forward to not hurting anymore - and I just realized that I should probably take some tylenol. Duh.)
2. The OSU v. Indiana game this Saturday is only being shown on ESPN U. I was *so* certain that another station would pick it up (like NBC did the week that ABC decided to show the Penn State game), but it is already Wednesday, and people are making all sorts of ridiculous plans to watch the game at places like the Arena Grand movie theater. Want to start a riot on campus? Just show the OSU football game on a station that you can only get with satallite. That's right, this just isn't right, and not enough people are talking about it. How much is the cut that OSU is getting from the bribe that the satallite carriers obviously handed to ESPN? (I'm trying not to be upset about all this, because we are going to the pumpkin festival anyways, and probably will just listen to the game in the car on the way, but I don't understand it, and I don't understand why more people aren't talking about it.)
3. Caffeine. Why doesn't the FDA require the amount of caffeine in mg to be displayed on nutritional lables? I'm only supposed to have 300 mg of caffeine a day, and that's *roughly* three cups of coffee. But, I don't know how much caffeine there is in a can of Pepsi, because it doesn't say. And last night, when we bought a Godiva Chilled Coffee Beverage in a Bottle, it didn't say how much caffeine was in it, either. So, now I've got to go look it up somewhere and try to commit it all to memory. The FDA should totally make them put that on the lable. Didn't some kid in Europe just die from a caffeine overdose after drinking a bunch of energy drinks? And how much caffeine is in a Red Bull? Is it even labled?
