Kevin got up *very* early on Saturday morning to meet our friends to secure our tailgating spot. Even though the parking lots weren't supposed to open until 5:00 AM, when they got there at 4:45, the first two were already full! Fortunately, they got very nice spots in the front row of the OSU lot across from Chemical Abstracts. (This meant that I could walk over to McDonald's with ease to use a *real* restroom whenever I needed to, which I greatly appreciated.)
I didn't show up until around noon, but when I did, I just pulled right up next to them in my own "made-up" spot. Then, someone actually left around 2:00, so I took their "real" spot.
We had a good time with the grilling, playing cornhole and general tailgating. The people behind us, though, went all out, and made oysters, a deep fried turkey, corn on the cob, and shrimp. I could have killed them for the shrimp, though, because it really stank and my stomach did not like it at all!
We had a generator and a tv, so some other people ended up watching the game with us. They were pretty funny, as they were pretty drunk. It got so cold after the sun went down, though! Kevin started to pack stuff up just before it got dark, and it was a good thing that he did, because it really got to dark to see anything that we had left lying around. After the game, we just packed up, and pulled right over the curb onto Olentangy River Road, made a turn at Lane Avenue, and were on the freeway before most people had even left the stadium. We didn't stay around to witness the post-game craziness because most everyone had been awake since before dawn, and we were super cold.
All in all, though, it was a great game, and a very good time. Kevin wants to do it again in two years for the next Michigan home game.
