It was a fun, but exhausting, weekend

This weekend was great, but I am really tired. I got tired towards the end of my baby shower, and I have never really gotten over it, because there has been so much going on.

Things started off on Thursday night, when I went to get a haircut before the weekend. I went to a new salon by my house that everyone raves about. I didn't realize it until I got home, but the lady didn't do a very good job at all! One side of my hair was about three inches shorter than the other, and instead of layers, I had chunks! Needless to say, I wasn't pleased. I'm going to call them about getting a refund later tonight.

On Friday evening, I went to the mall to buy some new maternity clothes. I ended up picking out one pair of pants and two tops for work before I ran into an old friend from high school that I haven't seen in ages, Jillian. It turns out that she was in town visiting family, and is pregnant, too! After we talked for a bit, I had to get going, because my cousin and her fiance were due to arrive at our house for the weekend.

On Saturday, my cousin and I went to a different salon so I could get another hair cut, and then we went to the mall so that I could pick out a dress to wear to the baby shower. Since I had to get my hair cut twice, it is much shorter than I originally wanted it, but I actually like it a lot!

I had a really great time at the shower, and it was so nice to see everyone. Everyone bought us the nicest gifts! The cake was amazing, too. It was a variation on the same cake that we had at our rehearsal dinner, with chocolate and strawberries.

After the shower, Kevin's family came over to visit us for a while and eat dinner. His little brother ended up staying with us, so we had a very full house on Saturday night. On Sunday, we all went over to my parents' house for a BBQ, and then people started to head home. After that, I headed over to Sara's house to finish planning her bridal shower, which is going to take place in less than two weeks. I don't think I'll have any trouble getting everything done that I'm supposed to, though.
