I can bring CDs with me to the hospital when I have the baby, and they recommend that I bring music that I find to be soothing and relaxing. I thought about it, and I decided that I want to bring the music that we used to play in the old COSI planetarium when I worked there. Since I don't have those CDs, I thought I'd just request them from the library and copy them.
Well, the library doesn't have them! I'm going to go ahead and request that the library buy them, but I might end up buying them myself. There are two that I really like, and they are $16.99 each on Amazon. I haven't spent money on a CD in such a long time, because the library doesn't usually fail me like this, so that seems like an astronomical amount of money to spend on CDs. But, if it helps me get through labor without medicine, I guess it is a small price to pay.
We'll see what Kevin has to say about it.
