I haven't done much of anything this week, except work and rest and eat. I'm glad that this was my last week of work, because it seems to be about time for me to take it easy. Just being at work is exhausting lately.
So, today is my last day of work for the summer. I trained the summer temp on Monday and Wednesday this week, and I think she caught on fairly quickly. I hope that she and my boss get along well this summer!
Last week there seemed to be about a million little things that I needed to do before I left, and that I would never get them all done. However, things just started clicking into place this week, and I only have a short list of things left to do, and I'm sure that I'll be able to finish them all today in good time. It helps that I'm the only one in the office today, so there won't be any added pressure to do other things on top of my list. :)
I hope that I adjust well to staying home and not working, although I certainly won't miss getting up early for right now. I've been getting a little bit dizzy in the mornings while trying to shower and get ready for work, mostly because I am still too tired to be out of bed, even though I've been sleeping a ton. For instance, I took a nap last night after dinner, got up and had a snack, and then went to bed for the night around 9:00. So, in all seriousness, all I did yesterday was go to work, eat and sleep. But, I was *still* too tired to get out of bed this morning when the alarm went off, so I slept in for an extra 30 minutes (which is why my hair is in a ponytail today). Even after that, I got a bit dizzy this morning from exhaustion.
Now I'm totally rambling...sorry.
But, I am proud of some of the things that I accomplished this week, including pre-registering for admission at the two hospitals that I might end up at for the baby's delivery, getting my birth plan all filled out, and taking care of getting my health care power of attorney done (I work at a law firm, so of course that was something I thought was important, just in case). I also filed a delinquent school district income tax return for Kevin and I, as we didn't realize when we first moved to our new house that there was a school district income tax, and we got a notice about our 2005 return in the mail last week. Fortunately, as long as we filed the return and paid any taxes that were due before June 13th, we didn't have to pay any interest or penalties. So, I really wanted to make sure that got done on time!
