One of the things that I like best about Facebook is the way that people share old pictures with one another. Often, I see pictures that I never knew existed, and it is a great way to bring back old memories. Plus, everyone knows that I *love* pictures.
I wanted to scan in some of my old photos from high school and my days as a COSI volunteer to post on Facebook. So, I started flipping through some of my old photo albums, which I haven't done in a year or more (shame on me). I discovered that a number of photos are missing! I know that I didn't miss the page when I was loading the album all those years ago, because there are still other pictures on that page. It seems that there are 2 or 3 missing from each album. I don't think that they fell out - as I tested to see how well the other photos were stuck in there, and some of them were even taped into the album.
Sigh. It appears that little gnomes must have snuck into my house at night and taken them.
This is one of the reasons that I like digital photos so much more than old film pictures. With digital photos, there is always the original file to reprint, and they are so much easier to share.

We've had problems with those gnomes in our house over the years as well! They really are trixters who love to play with our minds:) (we think my little fairy girl was seeing them last year too--poor thing was screaming in the basement, hiding behind the dehumidifier pointing at what she said was a little man:) tee hee, good luck:)
