Sock Monkeys are the Thing!
When Connor was a newborn, everything was all about bears. This season, it's the monkey.
We have tons of monkey clothes for Lex. In fact, all of his portraits so far have been taken in monkey-related outfits. I don't know if that will continue for the whole first year or not...
I bought him this sock monkey doll for Christmas. It's one of his favorite toys. He was laying on his tummy the other day looking at it, and when I picked him up to move him out of Connor's way, he cried. He kept crying no matter what I did until I gave him the monkey back. Instantly, he was happy and giggly again. I guess that they weren't done playing yet.
Isn't there some sort of saying about having a monkey on one's back?
We had Lex's two month pictures done at the JC Penny at Polaris (again, of course). We really have been missing our favorite photographer there from when Connor was little named Sara. I guess her husband finally finished med school, and got a job, and is bringing home the big bucks now, because she is just staying at home now, and doing photography for a hobby only.
We tried a guy named Brett a few times, because Connor really liked him. The problem with him was that he was always rushing us, didn't take very many pictures, and the ones he did take weren't very good. In fact, a few times there were pictures that I liked, but they were slightly out of focus, so I couldn't order them any larger than a wallet size. Some photographer, huh?
This time we met a new girl named April, and I really liked her. It was like we had Sara back again! She took tons of photos, and was really good with Lex and let me help reposition him and wipe his chin between shots, etc. I'll be asking for April from now on!
