Last night, I took the boys out and met my friend Carrie for dinner at Easton. We ended up eating at PF Chang's, which we all love, and it was happy hour (bonus!).
At the end of the meal, I opened up my fortune cookie, and it leaped out of the wrapper and onto the floor, where it broke into little tiny pieces. I picked my fortune up out of the wreckage, and this is what it said:
"You do not have to know where you are going to be headed in the right direction."
Too bad I wasn't fortunate enough to eat my little bland cookie.
Connor opened his cookie with greater dexterity than I, and his didn't end up on the floor. Lucky kid.
Inside he found not one, but THREE little pieces of paper. Really lucky kid.
Here are his fortunes:
1. "Happier days are definitely ahead for you."
2. "Doors will be opening for you in many areas of your life."
3. "You will soon emerge victorious from the maze you've been traveling in."
I think that the first two are totally great fortunes for my lucky little boy, and the third one isn't bad, but I do wonder what the "maze" is that he has been traveling in. Perhaps being a two year old is akin to traveling in a maze?
