In honor of Easter, I convinced my mom and brother to come with me to the Anthony Thomas Chocolate Factory to show Connor how the chocolate Easter bunnies are made.
Honestly, it wasn't hard to convince them.
I don't have any pictures of the chocolate making process, as photography was not permitted in the factory.
I do have pictures from the chocolate gift shop attached to the factory. So, feast your eyes on this:
A 235 pound Buckeye that retails for $3,500. If I had known about this when I got married, I might have tried to convince Kevin that we needed to cut into a 235 pound Buckeye in lieu of a wedding cake. Maybe. Probably alongside a traditional wedding cake, is more likely.
Poor Lex. He doesn't look exactly straight there, does he? It was the first time I'd ever tied him on front-facing without a mirror and while walking on a tour before.
Look at this sweetness! Brotherly love.
Okay, here is the real sweetness. Connor totally enjoyed his chocolate samples.
We are planning a return visit to the factory already, and I hope to see the Buckeye machine in action this time. It was being cleaned when we were there last time, but since we got to see them making the chocolate bunnies, we left happy. And with chocolate.
