The Hardest Part

Lex and I had a chat yesterday about his new sleeping pattern, and I guess he took it to heart, because he slept through the night for me.

I put him down with Connor last night, around 8:00 PM. He woke up at 5:30 AM for some milk, and then went back to bed until 7:30 AM. Perfect, perfect!

I've decided that the hardest part of being a mom is the NOT KNOWING.

If I had known that he was only not going to sleep for two nights in a row, it would have been easy to handle. But, since I didn't know if he was going to keep sleeping (or not) like that every night until he moved away to college, it was harder to deal with.

I assume that by "chat", you mean "swift beating", which yes, is a good way to get kids to sleep.

Dear Katie,

If you ever have kids, please hire a nanny to put them to sleep.

The mini-Katies will thank you for it.

I'm just saying,

Julie
