Newport Aquarium

Today we took the kids out and went to the Newport Aquarium.

Connor did pretty well, considering the fact that he was terrified of the fish at first. He rode around on Megan's lap in her wheelchair, so he didn't have to get to close to any of the tanks. By the time that we left, though, he was much more comfortable. He finally let me take him close to the glass to see the penguins.

I think that if we had gone through the place a second time, he would have enjoyed it.

Lex liked the fish, but I don't think he really knew what he was seeing, other than pretty moving shapes and lights.

We saw *the* weirdest turtle I have ever seen. It had a furry shell, elf ears, a pig snout, and a warty chin.

I've decided that when I become filthy rich, I want to have a huge wall-size tank full of jellyfish that someone else has to take care of, just so I can watch them swim around.

It has been years since we've been to the aquarium. But I remember that jelly fish tank. I think it was one of the coolest pictures I took all day.
