What I did with the last 5 (or 6!) cups of blueberries


Blueberry Crisp

Ingredients

For filling:

5 cups fresh blueberries (I may have used 6, but can you blame me?)
4 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons flour

For topping:

1/2 cup regular rolled oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup chopped nuts

Directions

1. Mix together filling and place in 2 quart baking dish.

2. In medium bowl, combine ingredients for topping. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle topping over filling.

3. Bake in oven at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes, until berries are tender and topping is golden.

4. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.


And thus ended the 10 pounds of fresh blueberries that my husband came home with.
